Information we collect

Depending on how you use CXT World, we process account identifiers and email addresses supplied through Google sign-in. Google may also supply your name and profile picture. We process information you choose to add, including your name, role, skills, profile description and listings; messages, public speech bubbles, job postings, marketplace entries and reports; avatar positions, actions and connection status; and technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as session identifiers and sign-in request information.

Some guest information, preferences and message history are stored in your browser. Account linking across devices is still under development.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate users, operate the shared world, deliver messages, display profiles and listings, maintain sessions, respond to support requests and prevent misuse. We use Google account information for authentication and account functionality. We do not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files or Google contacts.

What other users can see

Other users may see your display name, avatar, status, world activity and information you publish in the directory, job board or marketplace. Public speech bubbles are visible to people in the same world and disappear from the interface after approximately eight seconds. This is not a guarantee of immediate deletion from all technical systems or copies made by others.

Direct messages are intended for their participants. Recipients can copy or share messages they receive. Reports are accessible to authorised reviewers.

Automated residents

When you disconnect, a scripted version of your avatar may remain in the world temporarily and perform automated activities. It is identified with an automation icon. It does not represent messages, decisions or work performed by you while you are away.

Service providers and international processing

We use service providers to host the app, store data, authenticate accounts and support communications. These currently include OpenAI’s Sites hosting infrastructure, Cloudflare, Supabase and Google. Voice connections use PeerJS/WebRTC technology. Information may be processed outside Nigeria. Access and processing depend on the service involved and its infrastructure.

Storage and retention

We retain account information and content as needed to operate the service, maintain conversations and listings, handle disputes or reports and meet applicable obligations. Some information remains in your browser until removed or browser storage is cleared. Clearing browser storage does not necessarily delete server-held messages or published entries.

You can remove your own workspace entries through the app. Contact us to request deletion of other information. We may need to verify that a request relates to your account.

Your choices

You can choose what profile information to publish, whether to join the people directory and whether to use available communication features. You can block members and submit reports. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of your personal information, or to raise a concern about its use. We will assess requests under applicable law.

Payments

Payments, wallet funding, transfers and withdrawals are not activated. CXT World does not currently accept deposits or operate a withdrawable wallet. We will update the relevant notices before introducing financial features.

Security

We use technical measures intended to protect information, including authenticated access to private messaging and server-side sign-in sessions. No service can guarantee complete security. Never publish passwords, verification codes, bank credentials or other sensitive information in profiles, listings, public messages or chat.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as CXT World develops. Material changes will be communicated through the app or another appropriate channel.
